what i did was cut about 2-3" away from the stock muffler
Re-used the rest of the stock axle back, bought a 18" Flexible Tailpipe at kragen 1 7/8" for $4.99 and a Turn Down Tip for 10$

Can't really justify 300$+ for a axle back, when used evo8/9 catbacks often for for 100-200$

interesting. it wont hold up forever, but definitely props for doing this cheap mod!

and it should sound similar but quieter than with the axleback completely removed
