If you add the T1R test pipe, you wont' be as economy friendly. However you will gain much more flow with the exhaust and get some decent power.
This is definitely one of the best bang for your buck modifications.
I've PM'ed you pricing.
Thanks!

I've been waiting nearly 6 months for mine with no end in sight. I'd hold off on that order until they are guaranteed in stock.

Use Mor Gas
Gentlemen,
I just took my 2011 Fit out to a custom performance muffler shop to install my T1R test pipe (pictured above in the OP). I already have a Mugen axle back and the PRM "Jet Stream" cold air intake.
The shop owner advised me to do more research about installing the test pipe as he stated that the car would use A LOT more gas and that the removal of the secondary Cat would cause the check engine light to come on.
I asked if there was a ECM tune that would adjust the fuel/air mixture to compensate for the lack of a secondary Cat, and he said that he didn't know, but doubted it.
The car is NOT LOUD with the set-up I now have. I want a little more noise and performance, but would like to keep the mileage at the current 34-35 MPG. I would like to know if any of you Fit Freaks out there have any experience with installing the T1R test pipe, and how it affected your car. I don't mind sacrificing a couple MPG, but if it's 5 or more, I don't want to do it.
1) Did the Check Engine Light (CEL) come on with the installation, and did it stay on??
2) How much louder is the car with the T1R pipe installed.
3) How much less MPG did you get with the T1R installed.
Thank you!

Here is some insight on the questions you've asked.
1) Did the Check Engine Light (CEL) come on with the installation, and did it stay on??
- No engine light if you install the test pipe.
2) How much louder is the car with the T1R pipe installed.
- The exhaust tone will increase, however, it will not be extemely loud, the GE8 has a primary cat before the secondary. If you retain the stock primary, it will still be pretty quiet.
3) How much less MPG did you get with the T1R installed.
- Mileage was about the same. Keep in mind, our clients driving style did not change with the test pipe installed, so mileage did not really decrease.
Let me know if you have any other qeustions or concerns.
Thanks!

T1R -No CEL
Thanks for your timely and informative reply Jason.
I'll reschedule my installation ASAP.
I was pretty sure I had read somewhere deep in the annals of FitFreak that the CEL would not come on, but the shop owner spooked me. He did offer to install the pipe, but recommended that I do additional research. Since I am keeping the stock pipe, I can reinstall if I'm not happy for any reason.
I was aware of the HUGE primary Cat. I'm sure you'd have to retune if removed that baby.
Thanks again! :-D

What is the diameter of the T1R S51 Sports Muffler exhaust tip? I have 2009 5 speed MT Honda FIT Sport with a hidden trailer hitch. The hidden trailer hitch doesn't leave a lot of space for an exhaust with a larger tip.
Does the TR1 Response header eliminates the primary CAT and the T1R Racing converter eliminates the secondary CAT? If I wanted to retain one of the CAT would the secondary CAT be the better choice. No primary CAT would means less heat closer to the engine but less Eco-friendly. Any CEL problem with just the secondary CAT?

is it much louder now?
and do you feel any performance increase ?
Thanks
