First Engine Oil & MT Fluid

Did my first engine oil change and MT fluid change a few days ago. All went well. Had to remove the plastic under tray with its hundreds of fasteners, but that turned out to be easy and straightforward. Changed to full synthetic, mostly because I forgot that I wanted to wait a bit before going full synthetic, but it should be alright. New School vs. Old School, etc. Also went with Honda's MT fluid. The DIY work was well worth it. The car gained full 10 mph top speed* and four beautiful girls immediately asked me to have sex with me.**

4500 mi.

*That's a lie.

**Okay, this really happened.

Yes, but that was only while your head was under the car. After crawling out I'm sure they were scared off.

Is there some special reason the transmission fluid should be changed at 4500 miles?
Never owned any car that needed tranny fluid changes that frequently.

In 2010 or 11 they switched ATF from Z1 to DW-1 (Honda's designations). Anecdotal accounts including mine attribute better performance to the later standard. But if your car was manufactured after that, no reason I can think of.

Oh yeah: SevereService (the user, not the mode of operation) has formed a therapy group whose members meet semi-monthly to change their ATF.

Edit: MT? Mr. Coffee: lay off the caffeine.

Changing the MT Fluid and the other fluids makes me happy. Also, the shifting is slightly (but only slightly improved) and I think (but I'm not sure) that the engine is not quite so noisy on the synth oil.

Steve, obviously I need a "group." You guys are useless.

You're right. That is pretty horrible sentence structure and grammar.

I must have been tired after all the, you know, sex.
