Smile Transmission Fluid

Hello.

I have a 2004 Honda Fit A/T 1.3 idsi engine. I need to have its transmission fluid replaced (CVT). My questions is can I use other transmission fluid brands other than Honda? Or do I really need to use a Honda CVT fluid? Any helpful information will be highly appreciated.

Thanks!

Sorry if this is obvious, but:

1) You can use whatever you like. It's your car. But I would start with the owner's manual recommendation. Make sure that whatever you choose meets the standards recommended by Honda (oil weight, oil type, etc.). After that, pick any reputable brand (the big name stuff).

2) I have MT, not AT, but I like Honda MT fluid in my car. Their AT may be good for you.

Good luck.
