T1R, Weapon R header cel eliminator

To those who have a header installed on their ge8 I'm wondering what kind of check engine light fix you have and if it works in keeping the light off. Thanks.

Im pretty sure its the o2 sensor in the header. After swapping out my t1r header my cel went off too. Too much oxygen flow i guess

I just ordered this yesterday.

Weapon R CEL Eliminator

I'm surprised I can not find a thread specific to this device, except for this one. Hoping it works.

Just installed t1r header in my GE. Put a generic defouler on the 2nd o2 sensor. CEL is gone.

What defouler did you use (Name Brand)? What CEL did it get rid of?

it was just a no name brand from my local tuner shop.

ended up using only the L half of it.
code was P0420 - Catalyst System Efficiency Below Threshold Bank 1

interesting, I've always seen CEL eliminators made with a little bit of circuitry (I've made a few its just some resistors and capacitor in parallel IIRC). I guess whatever works.

I have a Weapon R CEL Eliminator just sitting in my mailbox now. I thought I'd need it after getting rid of both cats but no code came up for that. Only code I have is for EGR low flow. Saving it, just in case it wants to pop up after a while of driving.

I brought the same O2 defouler from eBay to fix the CEL after installing T1R response header. The L-half also triggered the same issue with Catalyst System Efficiency Below Threshold bank 1 on my car. L-half together with the O2 sensor extension or the straight piece also triggered the same problem. The O2 sensor extension by itself did the trick. It has been over eight months and there is no more CEL. However the O2 sensor wire is a bit short. I did have to extend them to avoid getting it too close to header or the exhaust pipes. The O2 sensor wire seems to be stainless steel. I had to use silver soldier that melts at higher temperature to soldier the stainless steel wires to a heavier gauge copper wires.
