intake indecision....
So I've been rocking a PRM intake for the spring summer months and while I love the sound around 3k and above, I hate the grumble around 2k and it's annoying when I sound like a jet engine, yet dude in the 96 taurus is keeping up!
so I went back to the stock intake...what a pain in the ass to put back in...was tempted to give up and will keep the PRM in the trunk if I feel the need...i did notice some light brown residue around where the intake met the throttle body
so what are the benefits of running a stock intake?
also has a hp increase been confirmed with a PRM ?

an update
Really no response? ok then...
anyways an update: idle learn procedure performed last night cuz man was it rough after swapping intakes.
Today I drove it around and must say I miss the sound of the engine...It was getting drowned out by that PRM. Butt-dyno feels no real difference. It feels peppier, but I feel that was due to cleaning the MAF sensor. Have a spare one in the car just in case it craps out (always have since my K&N oil incident along with a can of MAF cleaner).
Not sure if I want to let the PRM go but just might....feel free to PM me and I'll reach out once I've made my decision.
ok...thanks for reading..
