Ok so I sold my AFE intake, thing was sweet but was just too loud for me. Stock airbox is back in now, and I noticed that the intake air temps are noticeable lower now with the stock box back in. I didn't have my Scangauge before I put the AFE in so I never would have imagined temps would be higher with the intake installed. The AFE even has the sheild to block out the engine heat, but I guess enough still makes its way in there. Very strange. Temps were well over 100 with the intake (even noticed temps as high as 130 or so), now with the stock box they have been hovering around 90 or so. Definitely was not planning on another intake, and now after noticing this I am REALLY not thinking about one. Though I did notice better throttle response with the intake installed.
