Spoon short antenna!

I have an opportunity to buy a spoon sports short antenna for my 2010 fit for a really good price! I wanted to know if anyone is currently running one and what the reception is like when listening to fm radio? I have seen other antennas offered by perrin, blox, and a few others that are an all aluminum antenna where as the spoon I might buy is a hard plastic. I just wanted to know which one was better for radio reception.

Thanks

I have a spoon sports antenna and I didn't loose any reception. I don't believe mine is hard plastic, mine is metal. Are you sure the one you are going to pick up is legit?

I also noticed some metal spoon short antennas! I googled the antenna and came up with 2 different kinds plastic/metal! Here are some links to the one like I might buy locally: Google Image Result for http://icbmotorsport.com/New3/Spoon_Sports_Fit_Antenna.jpg

Those don't look like the one I have at all. Here is the one I purchased, I got it from ajracing, not rhdjapan though. RHDJapan will rape you on the price as you can see.

I think the plastic one is an older version? I'm not 100% sure! Do you have a part number for your short antenna?

Just picked it up and installed it! Reception is just as good as the stock antenna thus far! The part number on the box is 39152-gda-000. It's identical to the spoon antenna that's on jhpusa! Looks alot better! Thanks for the responses/help guys! What would you recommend to prevent it from being stolen? I was thinking about using a very tiny amount of thread lock #245 on the threads!

I have a friend using this antenna and he says reception is the same as stock. Got it from us at AJ, so if you need a quote, I can get that for you too

Regards,

Jason @ AJR
