dang sorry to hear yours got stolen. i want a shorter one but i don't want to buy one knowing that someone can just unscrew it off my car. this way if i do get my stock one stolen i won't feel as bad. do any of you take off your antenna every time you leave your parked car? that was another option for me but i said forget it because it's too much of a hassle.

spoon sports makes a shorter antenna for the fit. its about 3.5 inches tall compared to the stock one that is about 8inches. you dont have to have it but it is definitely something to look into if you plan on getting the spoon spoiler or any spoiler that is longer than the stock sport spoiler.
most after market spoilers will hit the stock antenna and more than likely prevent the hatch from opening all the way because of that.

sorry to hear about your antenna

i do know that alot of toyota kids like ours due to the size. when i got my fit i was hanging out with a friend who has a scion tc. i went in my house for a minute and came out and saw him taking my antenna off to see if it would fit his car. he begged and begged me to sell it to him because he hated how tall his stock one was.

I am thinking about getting the shorter antenna probably the perrin one do you guys know if any perrin one will fit any car or if they are actually car specific I have searched and it seems like they are made for evo and lancers etc... I was looking around and I guess the s2000 has a really short antenna would that fit and how short is it actually?

I didn't get the perrin antenna for the reason that it's still expensive as the spoon ones so I went with this and found one I like on ebay, you might wanna search ebay there are a lot of choices eBay Motors: Short Stubby BLUE Antenna VW Audi BMW Mini Mazda Toyota (item 380051018951 end time Aug-05-08 21:57:34 PDT)

The base of the Vibe antenna is slightly smaller than the Fit's, however it tapers out like the Fit so it flows nicely anyways. It's only off by less than a millimeter. The base of the Vibe antenna is about as thick as the Fit's antenna for about 4 inches, then tapers into the standard size and goes metal with the little spiral going up to a cap on the end. Over all it's about twice as tall as the Fit's. The Fit antenna looks a little goofy on the Vibe but only because the base is slightly bigger. My mom doesn't care though, she didn't like the taller antenna on the Vibe and asked me if they make small ones like mine so I just traded her. I like the bigger one 'cause it makes the Fit kinda look like an RC car or something, plus better reception to boot. I'll post up a pic if anyone's interested.
