Painting Carbon Fiber

I ordered a shorty univeral antenna in silver and black carbon fiber. I would like to paint the carbon fiber portion purple to match the car...any tips on priming the surface before applying purple paint?

Just use some sand paper to prep it like you would any other surface.

I would plasti-dip it then prime and paint. The reason being this will give you the flexibility to take the paint off if:

A: you don't like it.
B: you want to sell it in it's original form down the road.

Both of the above statements are true.

Sand with 400 grit, prime, paint, clear. To match paint go to automotivetouchuppaint.com
They will have the exact color match in rattle can or regular.
