CRZ Aero engine under panel installed on my Fit
#41
I just went out to my garage and surprisingly I've got one already fitted from factory! My Fit/Jazz is for the Scandinavian market Ge6 executive.
I did some digging and found a LINGS part number as well; PFKL2003550COVER ASSY., ENGINE UNDER ( nr.5)
Hope this helps all you undertray-less owners.

Wow, I'm a bit surprised that the USDM Fit doesn't come with this piece... It's not even like they're saving millions in production costs eliminating such a tiny little component like that.
Are there any long-term owners who can speak about corrosion issues in the engine compartment? I'm definitely going to order this piece because I can't see driving around all winter just letting salt and snow fly into my engine bay.

I Just bought the CRZ Under Engine Panel Cover but
I bought the 2013/2014 Year model,
Part# 74111-TM8-A10,
and it is a bit different than the one on the first page of this thread.
Mine do not have that Hump on the center of the panel !
Here is the pictures of mine,

The older model (2012 CR-Z)

Very Cool
I wonder what the hump is for. I have bought but have not yet installed the older model with the hump. Unless there is a good reason for it, I would have preferred the flatter surface. Have you installed yours yet? They are both the same price at Bernardi's.

I do need to drill holes onto the original left and right plastic cover,
then I just used all Honda OEM Plastic Clips to secure them and 2 metal screws.
at first I want to make some custom ventilation ducts on them but I decide against it, since I just want the most aerodynamic shape and there are not much heat coming from our engine bay anyway...
plus it would compromise the integrity/strength since it is made of plastic,
so I left it as is...

Sorry to nit pick but do you know #1)the part number of the Honda OEM Plastic Clips that you used (on mine the front and back clip holes look 7mm wide and other two look to be 9mm wide) & #2) the size/length/thread of the 2 metal screws? Thanks.

90114-SE0-000 Honda SCREW, TAPPING (5X20) QTY: 2piece
90308-SB2-013 Honda NUT, SUSPENSION (5MM) QTY: 2piece
The 2 parts above (Screw and Nut) were used on the 2 FRONT holes of the CRZ under panel
91514-TM8-003 Honda CLIP, COVER (LOWER) QTY: 2 piece
The parts above were used on the 2 REAR holes of the CRZ under panel
91506-S9A-003 Honda Bumper Clip QTY: I think we need 6 piece,
I forgot the exact number needed and too lazy to go under the car to check, but just buy 10 piece for extra spare clips.
The parts above (Honda Bumper Clip) were used on the remaining holes all around the side of the CRZ under panel
Have Fun

oh, one more thing,
the plastic clip 91506-S9A-003 are wider than the holes on the CRZ engine panel cover, so you need to widen the holes anyway, while you also drill pass through the original honda fit side plastic cover.

so I installed this underpanel using 10 of the honda black plastic cups used elsewhere for things like the grille. long story short the panel came off under heavy braking from high speeds (i was testing my coilover height for rubbing). I think you need at least 4 metal screw type fasteners to secure this thing in place. so now i am on the search for the perfect metal quick release pins to attach this panel. let me know if you have any ideas!

hmm maybe I oversized my drilled holes then
in any case I need some solid screw type quick release style fasteners... any ideas?

so here I was going to add the under body panel... looks like when my car got its bumper replaced a few years ago that they swapped the surrounding under tray with something that wasn't OEM. Not even close to fitting... Not cool.
