Anyone seen anything about that? I'm not looking for anything like the Ford kick-your-car-to-open-the-trunk junk, but it'd be a nice aftermarket option and I'm surprised to come up empty.

 

Why? Mine goes up just from the dampers when I pop it.

 

Yeah, sorry, I'm not making myself clear. What I was thinking was a remote-controlled actuator to pop the door provided the car is unlocked.

 

I'd like to see an auto down feature. I hate seeing on those hand prints on my hatch.

 

Find a factory car equipped with them and make a bracket and get them working.

Its not difficult, but I figure if you have a hand free to press a button to open the hatch, you have a hand to open it manually like stock.

At least its not a ford probe or mitsu eclipse hatch with bad struts. Thats about 120 pounds to open lol

 

When you close it put your hand/fingers on the license plate to close it. The prints there are much harder to see.

 

I thought everyone like me had a pair of soft cotton gloves for this purpose.

Sometimes if you pull it down fast and hard enough it will latch.
