hatch doesn't open - has it happened to u?
Hi guys,
recently I started to get my hatch not opening correctly.
I double click the open all doors on the remote, go to the back outside and when I hold the handle to open the hatch it just moves, but doesn't open the hatch.
I've started noticing this when the hatch is closed with a little force.
I've got a 2009.
when this happens, I have to go inside the car, drop the seats and take my keys and open the square plastic cover right in the middle of the hatch, and manually with my fingers pry the cable hook then the hatch opens.
Has this happened to you? WD40?
once I took it to the dealership and since I 'fixed' it, they said they can't do anything - they said when it happens again, don't touch it and bring it in.
Any comments?
thx guys

Happened to me...I could hear what sounded like the solenoid slipping, and sometimes it would unlock, sometimes not. Finally, it stopped at the not.
I manually flipped something up inside the little access panel - basically I had the choice of it always being locked or always unlocked. I work behind a security fence and park in my garage at home, so I just leave it in the unlocked position. The alarm still activates, so the hatch will open with the alarm armed, it just gets really noisy.
