My JDM Fit "Shuttle" MODULO Front Lips

My JDM Fit "Shuttle" MODULO Front Lips
I received my JDM Honda Fit "Shuttle" MODULO (Honda Access) Front Lips.
I order them in Pearl White (eventhough they were available in Taffeta White), for experimenting whether they will match a 2 tone theme with my car's Taffeta White. If they match, later I can order the PAINTED JDM RS Mugen Rear Under Spoiler and PAINTED JDM RS Mugen Side Skirt in Pearl White,...
Turn out, they do NOT match !!!
so I can NOT install my JDM Honda Fit "Shuttle" MODULO Front Lips now,
but I had to REPAINT them to Taffeta white first...
oh well, I will paint it later after I buy the JDM RS Mugen Rear Under Spoiler and JDM RS Mugen Side Skirt (in UNPAINTED) form,
so I can paint them all together at the same time...
but for now here are the pictures of them:
here are the pictures when I put them on the car temporarily just so I can check whether the Pearl White can match with Taffeta white or not...
as you can see, they are 2 far apart so they will NOT match...
The Pearl White is TOO YELLOW compare to Taffeta White ...

i was debating on getting the modulo pieces, but i don't like how the lines show up too much giving away that they are not part of the bumper. for the money, its not worth it for so little material. i would rather opt for the mugen front lip that covers up the whole area.
well if you want to complete the look, i have the modulo front lip garnish.

Fit Shuttle Front Under Spoiler,
The more,
I don't like the Mugen Fit Shuttle Front Under Spoiler,
They make our Fit look like a BLOATED minivan (like the fit shuttle is)...
yes, the way they curve really make the car have bloated front end...
well, the Fit Shuttle have bloated rear end too so I guess they will match hahaha
but my car had JDM RS rear bumper which is even shorter then USDM bumper,
so a bloated front will really make my car looks very unbalance from side view,
that is why the Modulo Lips is PERFECT for me
Also I do not want to put the center part like the one you had,
it is dark (almost black) color
and will make our front bumper (Car) look not as wide.
now our car is already a tiny car, so I want it to look as wide as possible
by having as much light color as possible.
adding the centerpiece that you had, will make our car look not as wide.
I mean, even you want to get rid of it hahaha
If you buy any other lips like for example the JDP lips,
it will be even clearer that they are NOT part of the bumper anyway hahaha... it will show that those lips are add on,
so naturally I am fine with the idea that people knew I add on a lips...
I don't mind when there are small lines showing that they are NOT part of the front bumper,
after all, they will make people notice that I do have add on Modulo front lips on my bumper...
hey, I am doing this for the looks, so like every body who fixing up their car for looks, they (including me) want people to notice that we do have something extra, something different
and I am HAPPY with the way it will looks
now the Mugen Fit Shuttle front under spoiler, well brand new, they will cost at least $1,500 including shipping from Japan,...
while this Modulo front lips including shipping from Japan is less than $400. (mine around $380 to be exact already include shipping)
oh, don't forget, those Mugen Fit Shuttle front under spoiler,
do NOT came in Taffeta white,
so add at least $500 more for painting them,
and you will end up with $2,000 total cost if you want the Mugen Fit Shuttle front under spoiler
I know you always prefer the Mugen Fit Shuttle front under spoiler,
so I am looking forward to see your car as the first car in US to have the $2,000 Mugen Fit Shuttle front under spoiler

i am broke lol. no upgrades for a long while for me. i wanna see this modulo lip installed properly and then i'll give it a final judgment. after all, i got modulo garnish and modulo grill too
#7
so I don't think you will see me installing this modulo front lips until at least 3 months from today...
because
I will only install this modulo front lips after I paint them Taffeta white,
and I will only paint this modulo front lips
if I can paint them TOGETHER with the JDM RS Mugen Side Skirt and JDM RS Mugen Rear Bumper Under Spoiler,...
which mean,
I still need to save around $2,500 for the JDM RS Mugen Side Skirt,
JDM RS Mugen Rear Bumper Under Spoiler and JDM RS Mugen Rear Fog Light ($2,500 including the cost to ship all 3 items from Japan)...
and then I had to prepare at least $750 to $1,000 to paint all the 3 item above in Taffeta white...
so hmmm total I still need around $3,250 to $3,500 before I can get the complete exterior looks that I want... oh well,
so perhaps 6 months from today is a more realistic goal hahaha
at least I already prepared the wiring for the Mugen JDM RS Rear Fog light hahaha...
now, I am looking forward to install the Takero's Carbon Fiber add on rear wing spoiler that I bought last week from Japanparts.com...
hopefully that one will fit perfectly so at least I have a parts that I can enjoy right away...
but according to Japanparts.com, Takero's still need to make them for me...
and it will take at least 3 weeks from today...
one thing for sure (knock on wood)...
I will be piss off if suddenly Takero's suddenly decided not to make them due to our Fit GE8 model stop produced in Japan market... that would sucks...

Taffeta White Bumper with that Pearl White Modulo Lips,
I think it look HORRIBLE because it look like a bumper with it's end part (the lips) got burned and thus YELLOWED in color...
seriously, I am surprised how the Pearl White color became so yellow and dirty when you put it side by side with Taffeta white...
so Thank You for your kind words but truth is,
I think it look horrible because of the color difference...
now regarding the different in mounting point between pre 2012 Fit Sport front bumper and 2012+ Fit Sport front bumper,
well, I don't know for sure because I never take off my bumper
and compare it with pre 2012 bumper,
but I do read somewhere in fitfreak that the 2012+ do have differences not only at the bumper it self, but also at the inside plastic fender panels...
still I think most likely you can always put on a 2012+ Fit Front Bumper to a Pre 2012 car if you are willing to modify a little or drill a little here and there...
but if you plan to put the Modulo Front Lips on a pre 2012 front bumper,
well I think it is not possible,
just like it is not possible to put USDM Mugen Front Lips on a 2012+ car...

Please take note that my modulo lips on the 3 pictures above are not mounted correctly,
they are just stand above those cartoon box(on the right) and alcohol bottle (on the left)...
the plastic mounting stud also prevent them from me trial mounting them properly
until I drill a hole in my bumper, so on the 3pictures above they are not align properly
thus the sag down looks...
after those installed properly, they will looks like this:

I curious and check the price to paint my Front Lips to Taffeta White,
and turn out, Carsmetics in Anaheim charge me only $100 !!!
So I do it right away,
and today I just installed the lips on my car :
Here are the DIY and Pictures:
Clean the bumper with Alcohol:
Take out the phillips screw so we can put the paper template over it's holes:
Place the Paper Template:
Use small Pin to make holes:
use tape to make sure the drill will only goes in 10mm:
Start drill with 3mm bit then 10mm bit on both front and bottom holes
following the template:
Photo of the bushing for the front mounting holes:
enlarge the front hole to 12mm and insert the bushing:
Drill the other 2 mounting holes near the tire using 3mm drill bit and then 6mm drill bit:
put on the lips with all the clips, screw, and peel of the double tape:
picture when I just finished installing the Left Lips to compare with the right side that do NOT have any lips yet:
Pictures after complete installation of both lips:

Thank You
Thank You
Yes, I agree, it would be nice if the front bumper came like that...
between the bumper and the lips there are "rubber lining" which is flexible enough so a slight gap that might be there due to unperfect alignment during installation of the lips not shown...
and perhaps if someday I crack or hit something and have to fix the lips/bumper (knock on wood, hopefully not happening), then I will ask the body shop to fill the seam and repaint all the bumper and lips together...
Thanks for your great idea
now regarding flow with the side skirts...
well it do flow well, unfortunately, the lips now is slightly lower then the side skirts, so hopefully the JDM Mugen RS Side Skirt (the one with black inserts) will be a perfect fit with this lips since those Mugen side skirt are lower then the USDM Sport side skirt...
I just have to save some money before I can buy those side skirt though hahaha
like... 3 months from today hopefully
Thank You
