Right headlight removal

OK, I need to remove the right headlight so I can get to the washer reservoir. The reservoir has a hole in it and I need to replace it. I see one bolt in the light immediately aft of the light, but I haven't figured out what else has to come off to find the rest of the mounting bolts for that light.

Any suggestions are appreciated.

The shop manual specifies to remove the front bumper to get at it.

Wow. That was quick. I ordered an new reservoir today. Next week I'll have a go at removing the bumper, followed by the headlight and reservoir.

Thanks

I just glanced at the manual before leaving home, but it didn't indicate the headlight needs to be removed, just the bumper. I'll post the relevant pages later tonight.

Sorta off topic but how did you get a hole in the washer reservoir?

Thanks for the pages. It looks like the bumper is coming off. As to how come I am replacing it. The answer is it is leaking . It has a big crack on the passenger side of the tank down low. What caused it is unknown to me. If it was winter I could say it was full of water and froze, but I never use plain water, and it is summer / fall time now. I was filling up the reservoir after changing the oil and the fluid was running out on the floor. I could not see where it was coming from until I tried to remove it. I got it loose but there is not enough clearance underneath the headlight to remove it.

While trying to remove it I saw the 2" crack down the side in an area normally hidden from view by the headlight. I have no idea what caused this. While I have never heard of anyone having a problem with one of these, I found that several after market companies, including Dorman, are making replacements. So there must be some demand out there for them. I like Dorman after market products. So that is the brand that I ordered. I forget the price right now but it was around $27.00.

Thank you for the maintenance manual pages. I will definitely use them. I'll pull the bumper and see if the reservoir will come out. If not, then I'll also pull the headlight.

I am headed out of town for a couple of weeks so I will replace this when I return. Maybe I can get my wife to replace it for me while I'm gone. I'm just joking. She will not do it, but my daughter might. I'll let you know what I find has to come off to get it out.

Thank you again.
