I was taking apart the lower dash to some wiring, so I had to remove the cupholders. Then I had an idea: I never liked the layout of the divider, why not eliminate it? I made the plate from sheet styrene and covered it with cut up rubber sheeting. The metal pieces on the bottom are to keep it from bouncing around, since it's just set in. I may do more with it, but enough for now.
it's a 2010, BTW.
This is what I was originally trying to do. I installed the voltmeter and wired in the sockets. Before they were attached externally and I didn't like the mess of wires. The small box at the top of the cavity is a garage door opener that's stuck to a steel plate I put in with magnets.
