I saw a post about Fit interiors and went straight to my GE8 to ditch the lumbar support.
I actually found the zippers today when I was loading up my Stafford in the back.
So, after seeing that post, I went out, unzipped it, and removed it.

(took about 5 mins, used my hands to manipulate the springs to slide the lumber out, and then removed the spring that clips into the LS to hold it in place against the foam padding.)
Tomorrow, I'm driving from San Diego to Irvine with my wife to see Castle Rat perform at The House of Blues.
I'll give a full report on whether it's worth leaving it off or putting it back after the trip.
