It annoys me to no end that Honda left out the map light on the base model 2010, but still put the indentation for the cutout in the headliner.

I've seen writeups on changing the map light in sport models, I just need to know if anyone has done this on a base model before. Is the wiring already there? Are the mounting holes already there?

I think you have to run a pair of wire. See URL below. You might not be able to read it but look at pictures. You will get an idea.

I'm in talks with College Hills Honda right now, just to guarantee that I have the correct parts/part numbers. (They posted one in the DIY, but it may be for JDM, and I hate waiting for shipping, so I'm just double checking)


I think if they released a kit for this, it would be hugely popular.

you guys are lucky the GE comes with bracket in there to install the map light. no such luck for GD owners.

i'd buy it... they should include the wires needed to tap into the middle light too...

i checked stealership prices for the parts.. almost $80.. college hills added up to be about $50ish

34253-671-003 - Light bulb (order 2 of these)
34405-SDA-305 - Right plastic lens
34406-SDA-305 - Left plastic lens
34404-SNA-A01ZD - Map light base
90148-S6A-013 - Ground/Mounting bolt (order 2 of these)

i'm going to pick up some wiring as well... anyone know what gauge wire to use?

I checked into this in B.C. Canada (Our Sports don't have map lights! BUT they are all MT's!) and the parts are in the pictures on Honda's computer, but it will not allow the dealerships here to order the parts. So FYI anyone in Canada, that you shoudl just order from the States. (College Hill or whatever is close)
