Hey is anyone else having / did anyone else experience the volume knob on the stock unit wearing out? I'm at a little over 20k miles and when I turn the knob sometimes it will go up, sometimes it will go down, sometimes it will move by 1 step, sometimes it will move by 10.

It's obviously still under warranty, however I'm just curious if I got a randomly weak unit or if this is something that's going to be an issue with the car.

 

Base stereo or Navi? No issues after 40k+ on my stock navi unit.

 

Base. Still having issues, I'll report back when I finally get it into the dealer. It's just annoying / a low priority right now to tell you the truth.

 

Did you get your issue resolved? My radio knob does the same thing...some times I'll turn it down and the volume will go up and vice versa.

 

Yeah... unfortunately the solution was a new stereo. I'm trying to treat the new knob gingerly, however I wasn't super harsh on the fist.

 

If your under warranty they should replace your stereo, I don't believe there is a fix for the knob, they build these things where you can't easily replace the knob.
