OEM Navi Dash Trim Question

Hey guys, my wife has a TW 2011 Fit Sport (non-navi) and I was going to put my Eclipse AVN-726E 2-DIN deck in it since I traded my '09 FA5 in and no longer need it. My question revolves around the OEM Navi dash trim and if (like in my FA5) it works with aftermarket 2-DIN units (assuming I have the brackets as well). Thanks in advance for any answers you can give as I've never been a huge fan of the color match on the Metra or Scosche kits. Here's a pic of it in my old FA5 using the OEM Navi dash trim...

Wow...40+ views and no answers. Guess I'll order the part and report my findings.

I've got a GD but I would guess that as long as it's not an integrated model it might work. When I put the DD in mine I had no choice to use an aftermarket kit. Once I find a dead OEM radio on the cheap I'll make a kit that will fit like I want it to.

I utilized the OEM navigation dash trim (77251-TK6-A01ZA) on a non-navi Fit Sport. You will also need the OEM brackets (77255-TF0-000) which I didn't have so I fabricated brackets and I also used the trim from a Civic's Scosche dash kit (you can source this part from Scosche). Total cost of parts = $46.67 (dash trim and brackets) from Majestic Honda - The Internet's #1 Honda Automotive Parts Store. The trim ring can probably be had for around $10.00.

Sorry for the crappy cell pics and the sunlight. Bluetooth mic is at the top corner of the a-pillar and the USB connection for the iPod is in the OEM location in the upper glovebox.

Thanks for the info on this. I really appreciate it.
I have a Scosche Kit right now (my 2nd one) and its rattling like crazy.
It's a cheap plastic kit which is about to break off after a few big bumps.

That said, are the brackets from Honda metal? I'm hoping so as these plastic brackets are no good. Also, could you link me to a trim I could use for the navi?

I have the exact same Eclipse navi that you have. It's awesome!
(Darn rattling ruins a lot of it though.. ) Thanks again.

I spent just over $50 for the OEM dash piece and mounting bracket. I had to wait a month, but after seeing a few kits, I knew I would only be happy with OEM.

I went online to honda parts direct
Honda Parts Direct - Genuine Honda Parts - Discount Prices

I then stated that my car was the at with navi from the sayama plant (you can find out what plant on the drivers dor sil sticker. not sure if there is a diffeernce in plants, but better safe then sorry. next find the nav parts. located in the subsource instrument panel passenger side. You will need to order the OEM navi dash and the mounting bracket.

77251-TK6-A01ZB navi dash number 8 on the site

77255-TF0-000 metal bracket number 9 on the site

93913-14420 screws for the bracket, need 4 of them to screw the bracket in to the dash number 34 on the site, also when you take the passenger airbag display off of the stock radio just reuse the same screw when attaching to the new piece.

now when you screw the radio into the bracket, dont use a long screw, just one that is barely long enough to catch and hold is perfect, you dont want to screw to far into the radio.

The wring harness i would advise going to bestbuy or a local audio shop, so that way you dont cut the factory harness off, you will remove the connector from the side that will not go to stock harness. now just match up the radio colors and and your all set almost, remember to also get the antenna adapter, you will also have to hook the power antenna wire up to the radio. Now im sure you could also go the complete route and hook the neccessary wire to ebrake and such, or you could just put them on a switch connected to gorund. your choice. the radio will also need a trim piece that goes around the radio, the one for the eclise radio probably will not work, but you could shave the corners down and make it fit. I chose to get the metra kit for a wanna say 2007 honda pilot. Just add a little double sided foam tape to some spots behind the trim and it should sit perfect. just do a search on the fitfreak to find which honda pilot kit to get. I got mine on ebay for less than 12 dollars. Hope this helps pm me if you have any questions.

Your radio will fit the double din navi opening for the stock dash piece.

All this was already done in June of last year (post #4).

Does anyone have a part number for this mystical Honda OEM trim that finishes the installation of a double-DIN head unit? I'd really like to get one.

Hey, brother. I see your IAFF avatar...I'm Local 3180. Anyway, the piece I used was sourced from the Scosche kit for the Civic (even though I didn't use the actual Scosche kit) so I'm not sure of the part number. I assume the Scosche DDTRB would work if you trim the center piece out but without having one in my hand, I couldn't tell you for certain. Best I can advise you is to contact Scosche (800-363-4490 ext 1) or Best Kits (727-572-9255) and tell them you need the double-DIN trim ring ONLY that comes with the HA1561DGB (Scosche) or BKHA1561DGB (Best Kits). I've heard of people on the Civic forums getting them for $10 that way. Good luck.

I went w/ a Honda Pilot kit. I was under the impression (incorrectly) that the trim ring was an OEM piece. I discovered the error of my thinking shortly after posting this, and ordered said kit via Amazon (thank you 'Prime' shipping) for less than $15.

I'm a Prince William County, VA fireman (Local 2598), located about 20 miles outside of D.C. I just did 7 years as a Washington, D.C. fireman and had enough of that nonsense, and went back to Prince William County, where I had previously worked. Stay safe, nice cars, and thanks for the help!
