Aftermarket seats

Has anyone installed aftermarket seats and still retained the functions of the airbag (ie no light on dash?)

My friend had a look and he said there are 3 sensors under the seat.

1. seatbelt
2. side airbag
3. seat rail position sensor

The first two is not a problem, but he said the seat rail sensor is not something you can take care of just be a resistor.

Can a fitfreak member provide an insight?

1. relocate old seatbelt to new seat
2. use 2.2 OHM resister x 2, one in each prong that would normally go in airbag plug
3. I'm still in the midst of tackling this. I've read that you can relocate this from the old seat, but time didn't permit me to do so. Was thinking about purchasing the sensor from the dealership to just plug in and try to fake it, but haven't done it yet.
