Help Installing Shiftlight

I am tired of hitting the rev limiter while focusing on the road getting onto highway on ramps and not looking at my tach and was wondering if anyone konws where I can get a tach signal from the ECU for a shift light? Thanks.

Maybe time for an auto eh? I drop my auto into 3rd for On ramps and don't have a problem listening to it for when to shift into drive or to glance at Speedo as usually well beyond speed limit before needing to shift into drive. But then not in kamikaze mode to enter either.

Oh no idea how to solve your problem.

PM me your email addy. I will forward you instructions and print outs (pdf's) that another board member provided me with to help hook up my shift light. 2 years now with no issues.

MT 3rd only goes to roughly 78 mph. I've gotten to where I can tell by sound when to shift at 6800 rpm and not hit the redline.

My ECU reflash raised the rev limit so if I do hit it in 3rd gear I'm doing 90MPH... I wouldn't mind having a shift light myself, but I'm getting pretty good at getting real close to the limiter as long as I'm not wearing my hearing aids... Actually I really need to take it a bit easier on the car by not wrapping it up so tight...

Thanks wiona for the instructions. They were perfect. For those wondering I went with the KP Technologies light since it was extremely discrete.
KP Technologies

Here what it looks like.

Hi all on this thread, I could use some help installing a shift light on our 2012 Fit, We'll be racing it in the B-Spec class with the SCCA.

Any help would be appreciated!
