Simple requirements here:

Plays DVDs (while moving with hacks/mods/whatever)
Reliable
Inexpensive

I imagine all the other specs are competitive with similarly priced units, so I guess the basic question is, "what is the one of the highest value items in the marketplace right now?" There's always a few, and I'm completely out of the loop when it comes to audio.

Oh, and I don't mind flip out screens, but don't know if reliability comes into play there.

 

I just put one of these in a camry pretty nice unit, you will need a parking break module to bypass the parking brake safety feature to play dvds while the parking break isnt on. And this unit is pretty affordable in the double din market.

I just installed the pioneer avh- 1400dvd and I love it so far, it was $255 shipped thru eBay and the parkIng brake bypass was $9 shipped from eBay. Easy to install and sound qualitys great. My only complain is you can't tilt the screen if there's a glare.

Any single sin models with a flip up screen? I like the visibility of that setup, especially if I add navigation, but might not like the fact that it block the center air vents. I see a lot of JDM cars with these. I also like the fact that you gain a storage cubby, not as if the Fit needed more of them.
