Best decks/receivers for Honda fit

Hi everyone,

I'm planning on replacing the stock stereo/deck on my Honda fit. Since there are way too many brands/models out there I would just like to know what are some of the best ones out there, or if any of you could recommend any

I'm leaning towards either alpine or pioneer

Some of the features/capabilities I'm looking for in a deck are:
- 6 or 7 inch touch screen display
- Bluetooth connectivity
- Smartphone capabilities
- Sound equalizers

Doesn't have to have GPS

Price range
$200-550

I pickled up a lightly used Pioneer Premier deh-860MP on Ebay for my Fit for under $200. Love this deck for what it has like built-in 13 band EQ, 6V sub control, amongst lots of other goodies.
I've had the deck in my 06 Jeep TJ and I love it.
And yes I love the deck so much its going to be in both my vehicles.

Got the Scosche Dash Kit for 2009 Honda Fit Double Din and Din with Pocket
looks pretty bang on (haven't installed it yet)

also picked up from Germany the Pioneer Flat sub new to the market.

Can't wait to get this all into the Fit

Got my stereo all hooked up, not an easy job. They packed in the head unit tight!

Aftermarket stereo sounds so much better than the OEM head. So happy.

Think I'll start looking for a Nav unit if the price is right, until then the morning and evening commute is sounding great!

Curious to see a finished install picture. The only things that have kept me from replacing the factory stereo are just how 'aftermarket' / misfit they look and how the factory stereo is very simplistic to operate. I would prefer a double-DIN size but I can't find one that would match the silver theme of the dash. I do crave much better sound, though. :-/

I too had last second thoughts of leaving the oem unit in.

But after all is said and done, I love the sound quality. 13 Band eq in the deck for really getting it right.
50Wx4 output on the headunit and the bass out of that box so nice.
Really weird that pioneer doesnt sell this bass box in NA.
To anyone who wants to retain their trunk space and still have some mirror shaking bass I highly recommend this box.
I have it vertically positioned behind the honda Fit trunk organizer and I can still drop it flat when I need to have more space.

Hopefully the OEM door speakers hold up til I can put something better in.

Bonus: I really love that the headunit glows the same blue around the buttons as the dash.

I just installed this one in my 2013 Fit Sport! Its an awesome upgrade to the stock system, looks good with the surrounding instrument panels, you can set the color to perfectly match the blue of the cluster gauges lighting, has bluetooth (which works really well). Just adding this alone to my currently stock speakers, I noticed a huge difference in the quality of sound.
