Radio Keeps resetting!

So, I got a new battery and after 3 months my aftermarket Alpine radio has started resetting itself after what seems every other stop/start. This was happening just before I got the new battery. Crutchfield says that the radio will do that if it is not receiving enough power. I used an aftermarket harness to plug into dash so no wires direct to battery. Thanks for any help anyone can offer! 2009 Fit Sport Auto

Pull the radio out and check for any loose wiring.

Must be some issue with the yellow constant on power.

Radio Keeps resetting!

Put a multimeter on battery while started. 13.5 at idle, 13.6 at 2500rpm, watched it drop from 12.5-12.1 in 3 minutes after shut off. Drops to 9.9 when key turned to start. Maybe alternator?

Did you pull the radio out?

Start with the simple stuff first. If the radio is the only thing acting funny then it is probably the radio or radio connection.

Not the Radio

Switched with an Alpine that is a couple gens old. It didn’t reset for the 3 weeks I had it in. Put newer one back in and it started to do the resetting thing again. Bought a “working” radio of the same model and it does the same thing. Yellow memory wire hooked directly up to battery. Alpine says stereo needs at least 11 volts or it resets. Could the car start drawing the battery down past 11V AND reset radio? This is weird.

I don't know the answer to the resets. It sounds like a bad connection somewhere.

I do know that I don't like my Alpine CDE-175BT at all. I've had it a year and I wish I had never picked that receiver.
Years ago, Alpine was always quality...not anymore..imo.

Clean your battery terminals, connectors, and ensure that they are seated and making contact 360 degrees around.

Thats where I'd start.

If still no luck I'd whip out the multimeter and start testing some connections. Got2b power related
