100k maintenance?
100k maintenance?
My wife’s car is a 2010 base model at 96k. We’ve had it since 42k and done oil and tire rotations. Gave it new trans fluid. I have always driven and maintained 90s cars so I’m assuming I should be doing a timing belt, water pump, other belts, plugs, and wires. This is the newest car I’ve had so I’m not sure if there is more or less I should be doing. Thankful for advice on this specific car.
^This, and a valve clearance check. This is pretty easily done in a driveway with normal tools. I'd skip water pump, it's not needed till at least 160-180k.
my 2010 is around 182k. definitely belt and fluids, probably valve clearance. plugs and valves are good to do at the same time since you have to dig so far down. Good plugs are gonna cost around $50. Don't change the coils unless theres something wrong. they are around $100 each, and you may wind up just causing problems if you go with cheaper aftermarket parts.
