2010 Honda Fit good Engine replacement thread

My 2010 Honda Fit died and the engine has no compression. Most likely the timing chain slipped. So I bought a replacement engine. I worked quite a bit with boat engines (they have Chevy blocks with a bunch of marine accessories and pretty easy replacement routine), but Honda engine is quite crammed in the small space and looks like I would need to remove it together with transmission. Also one of the engine supports in the replacement engine on the passenger side is broken, the one that is a part of a timing chain cover, so I think I can just swap it with the old engine.
Now, my question, Is there a good detailed thread on replacement of the engines? Step by step would be nice.
Thank you

I can’t help you with a thread about engine replacement. But there is a thread that someone has with the factory service manual available for download. Look a few posts down from your post. Might be of some help.
How many miles on this car ? Pretty rare to hear about engine replacement on these cars.

yep, that was strange, it has about 140k miles. I was driving the car and suddenly there was a loss of power and ive heard a noise similar to a flat tire rattle (I assume it was a timing chain slippage. No compression. It started a couple more times and died almost immediately and was running really weak.

There are a bunch of swap videos on youtube so that gets you started with engine removal.

If "It started a couple more times and died almost immediately and was running really weak."...wouldn't that exclude the timing chain??
