Hello,

I bought a used 13 Fit with 92,000 miles a few months ago. I started to notice what seemed like an intermittent misfire about a month ago. Despite this, the MIL never triggered and I have never seen the light. Recently, the car has developed a knocking sounds which sounds kind of like rod knock or piston slap. This happens consistently when the engine is warmed up, even if it doesn't feel like it's misfiring. Because of the potential for some sort of serious engine issue, I've been driving my RSX instead for about 2 weeks. Today, my boyfriend tried to start the car and it just cranks but won't start. I know that there is a coil issue on these cars and I'm HOPING that's what the issue is. I was planning on doing the plugs and valve adjustment soon as it's typically due at 105k.

But, because of the knocking, I'm worried there is a bigger issue. Has anyone experienced a knocking noise w/ their coil issue?
