Most total weight put in your Fit?

So I saw that the max weight was noted as 850 lb.
I then cross-checked that to my CRV which is also a Max load of 850 lb.

Interesting. I had to pick up a total weight of around a thousand pounds before my own weight of 250 for a total load around 1250lbs. I measured everything out and I decided to use the fit.

The back suspension was pretty low but the frame wasn't hitting the tires and the suspension still had a very small amount of play. I had to drive it one and a half hours. there were some concerns that one of the tires might pop going over the imperfect roads or a suspension would break over a pothole with the weight limit on the door but I did not run into any of those problems.

The car actually seemed to be able to handle it, especially the engine/transmission which is surprising to me. Breaking did take longer, that was to be expected though, I adjusted my driving style for the busy traffic to accommodate.

Long story short I had no issues and I would not hesitate to do a similar type load again in the future. But it got me thinking - what is the most that you guys have put in your fit?

Me (weighed about 240 in 2010), friend (395, big guy), his friend (about 230) and almost $60 dollars of $.50 Powerade 32oz (big number, can't be arsed to do math) for about three miles back across a bridge to home. Sketchy as shit, would not do it again.

I believe the most I've had is pretty close to the limit and I was driving up in the Great North Woods of Maine last June and I had about 700-800lbs in my Fit because I had my Uncle, a Special Needs Guy, and all of our luggage in the back so it was pretty close to the weight limit of the car and we still got 38MPG or more and didn't even effect the driving one bit!
