6 speed manual transmission
6 speed manual transmission
Hi, have anyone used a 6speed manual transmission in a honda fit 2012 (L15A7)?
Or anyone up the gear ratio of 5th?

The Japanese Spec Fit RS has a factory 6MT. I forget the gearing and exact model year range but look around 2011 to 2013 model years.
I personally wouldn't mind importing one of these RS 6 speed manuals myself but that will be further down the road.

They also sold the 1.3 with a 4wd option. With a decent motor that might be flippin quick
if it's anything like the CRZ transmission then 6th is the exact same ratio as 5th in the 5 speeds. The Fit was even sold with the CRZ running gear in the second gen. Hybrid electric assist would be kinda cool

The CR-Z's transmission is more on par with the R18 equipped 8th gen Civic. Heck the outer case, differential, some of the shift forks, and the counter shafts interchange between the two.
Has it ever been done here? RS tranny swap on USDM GE8?
Doubtful BUT technically we do have the outer case and gearing already in the states. That's from the 6MT GK5 if I recall correctly while cross referencing parts a year or so ago.
The inner case/bell housing and mounts will need to be imported or sourced. Not sure what else currently.
