Anyone know where to find a new carpet?

I'd recommend visiting an automotive upholstery shop rather than replacing with OEM carpeting (which I view as rather cheap in terms of quality). The molded stuff is backed with a material that allows the carpet to be formed by heat and pressure, and has to be made by a business with the needed equipment. By supplementing with carpet and padding you will of course have multiple pieces that must be skillfully cut, shaped, and laid on adhesive, but your material quality choices will expand quite a bit!
You could take a DIY approach demonstrated by professionals in
, but I would recommend using very cheap material if that was your intention as getting a nice finished product would require either fancy math or a skilled hand.

I had a GTI carpet that was soaked by anti-freeze when the sloppy VW dealer replaced a recalled heater box.
So I pulled the sopping wet rug from the car and washed it at the local coin laundromat, in the super-sized washing machine. A few (female) customers at the laundromat were bothered by this and told me so, lol. The carpet came out clean. Some of the black dye was washed out so the clean carped had a slightly grey hue. Also, the wear areas by the driver's feet did not come out as great as I had hoped; they certainly were cleaner and less matted but not returned to new condition.

Long ago I got prefitted carpet for a Toyota Tercel from jc whitney for about us $70. Maybe they still sell it. Putting it in was a job. You have to remove everything including the seats.
