Do I need to remove OEM seat covers to install new ones?

Do I need to remove OEM seat covers to install new ones?
I have a 2012 Fit Base and found some nice faux leather seat covers. Need to know if I can just toss them over the existing fabric or if I need to remove the existing seat cover fabrics BECAUSE I noticed zippers behind the front seats for the back area.

No clue what brand you are using but read the directions.
