Radio Code won't work?

Ok, I have a 09 Sport (no navigation). I put in a new battery, and my code is 36266. How ever after I put the numbers in using the radio numbers, it goes back to 'enter code' I'm now on try 5. What else do I have to do? Thanks......

I switched out to an aftermarket HU a long time ago, so I don't have an answer for that.

But I am curious... do you think it's wise to post your radio code on an internet forum for the world to see? Kinda defeats the purpose of "security."

lol, well the security code can be retrieved for free on the internet from Honda so probably not that huge of a security concern. But really, it's a crappy, oddly shaped unit, the security code is total overkill. It's not like the stock non-nav unit is in high demand. I do agree on just getting an aftermarket head unit. I replaced mine a few years ago and I'm glad I canned the stock unit.

OP, are you sure you have the right code? Have you used it before? You can get the code again from here: https://radio-navicode.honda.com/

lol, I wrote my code ON the radio because it was a PITA to keep looking it up (I think the battery died a couple times (darn kids messing with stuff), and i was also disconnecting it to do work)
