Play in shifter, side to side, bushings?

My 5 speed shifter is getting looser and looser. If I lift the cover I can see that where the little ball on the metal shift arm pivots in the shifter assembly, the arm to the left of it moves up and down with the looseness in the shifter. What is that bushing? The cable bushings look fine, but the plastic piece to the left of the arm is definitely loose. Here's a pic with the location of it circled. I tried grease which didn't help much other than the plastic sounds. I drew arrows on the photo too, showing when I move the knob side to side, the other part moves up and down very loosely.

any suggestions help. If there's another bushing that is in that location, where would I find a replacement for cheap?

Ended up replacing the stock shifter assembly with a buddy club short shifter assembly I got from eBay for $99 USD. Much tighter gates now.

If anyone wants pics, or is looking for a stock shifter, mine still works great, albeit a little loosely. Pretty much if you pay for shipping the OEM is yours.
