Air conditioning, meh, mild weather.

2013 Honda Fit. 94k miles. I’m in south Louisiana.
Approaching time for AC in South Louisiana. Needed mine last week, but no cold air. Only hot air. AC was working and working fine this past summer.
I believe it’s the compressor clutch that’s bad. Anecdotal talk says clutches are known for going out. A YouTube says don’t buy cheap, buy Honda (at 6 times the price) kinda silly considering they’re known for failing.
what’s a good online clutch that will marry up to the compressor?
thanks.

Today is a mild (warm day) I turned on my AC and it’s just not doing anything. Either on recirculating OR bringing in outside air. The fan speeds are fine. Switching from recirculate to outside air works fine.
At one point once on my 40 minute drive it seemed like it cooled a smidge but that was short lived.
Last year I had the same scenario in the spring once but when summer was full blown my AC was fine.
Seems I read somewhere that the Fit did something weird with their AC. A different gas that didn’t compress as much or some malarkey.
All comments welcome.
Thanks.
Fit takes the same r134a everything else in the states takes. Make sure the system is charged properly and you aren't low.
