Replaced the driver side mirror with an aftermarket piece. Everything fits well and works except for the 3 mounting bolts. They are slightly longer than OEM so I can't fit the plastic garnish piece back on properly. Could I just use a hacksaw to cut off the little extra nipple? Or should I use a dremel or something else?
edit: little mini hacksaw did the trick perfectly!
aftermarket unit installed
The part I used it anyone is looking for the same

I have replaced a few mirrors on the Fits in my family. The last one I did had this issue. Dremmel or Hacksaw would have worked but you already got it so there we are.
I replaced my passenger side mirror, with one from rock auto claiming to be oem built. I can tell you at high speeds it vibrates. Not terrible but it's noticeable. How's yours?

The housing itself doesn't but the mirror does. Probably similar to yours, not awful but definitely noticeable.
I just did a passenger side replacement with a "Sherman Replacement Part Compatible with Honda Fit Passenger Side Mirror Outside Rear View (Partslink Number HO1321246)" from Amazon . Same deal , solid mount to the body , mirror flutters at speed . But it was only $50 shipped .
