loud '12

Hi there, recently my '12 Fit has been loud. It's hit almost 90k miles so I'm wondering if there's something known to fail around this time? Seems worse if the AC is on rather than off. I've linked a short video of it idling and then revving it a tad. I've been not driving it while I try and get a rough idea of what it is / what it might cost. Thanks!

Is it stock? To me, it sounds like any other Fit.

hey thanks, it is stock. someone elsewhere suggested it could be a flange bolt popped off, and that seems to be the case. trying to figure out what that would run me at this point for parts and labor

To me it sounds like a hole in the exhaust. Maybe a *small* hole in the manifold since you are hearing it up front. It could fit with the AC on as the car has to idle slightly faster to compensate for the extra power AC takes.

I think that a flange bolt would be used to connect the manifold to the catalytic converter? To me, it's in the same wheel house as exhaust. This would be under the car and near the front. If I'm correct. If the bolt is just missing, buy a new one and put it on. Easy Peasy. Otherwise, if the flange is rusted away or you find a hole, it's slightly more involved.

You have to get under there (safely) and inspect everything. Could be a flange or...
If everything looks OK, get a piece of wire and probe under the front pipe heat shields for holes. They can rust out under the shields and it won't be obvious.
