Question for those with T1R short shifter

Hi guys, I just installed my T1R shifter, but it seems to sit toward the passenger side in neutral. Is this normal? I've attached a photo of the angle in neutral and it's getting to my OCD

This is the part number from my invoice: 54101-GD3-QS

Is this a GD3 shifter? Could that be why the angle is wrong? Would a GD3 shifter fit into the GE8 shifter base?

GD and GE shifters should be interchangeable. Nice S2000 knob 👌

Where did you order your shifter from? I want one, too.

I got the shifter from A&J racing but I don't see it listed on their website anymore

The knob's neutral position is held by little springs beneath it. you could prolly swap the sides the springs are on. I could see something like that getting mixed up, particularly if the springs are unequal length and not color coded. Otherwise you may be able to purchase new springs

Is this the spring? It seems to only go one way from what I remember.. looking closer now it looks like the shifter sits correctly in the housing but then bends towards the right so I think this is by design
