Airbag module reset or replace?
Hi all,
I swapped out the ratty passenger seat in my 2009 Fit with nicer one from a 2009 that had been in a crash (airbags deployed). This was BEFORE I knew about the OPD and seat belt latch storing crash codes, so I trashed my old seat and didn't keep the original OPD or anything (insert tears here). What I thought was going to be a $30 upgrade has turned into a big headache.
My buddy has a fancy car computer, and we were able to do the OPD weight calibration and everything (drive over 22mph with something of known weight in the passenger seat, etc.), but the SRS light is still on. I'm guessing that the replacement seat OPD sent a crash code to the main SRS module(?).
I'm wondering if anybody has any advice at this point... I'd like to clear the light and restore full SRS functionality.
Should I send the main SRS module somewhere to get it reset? Or can I grab one from another FIT that hasn't been in a crash?
Thanks in advance!

hi there, were you able to solve this issue. I`m running exactly same issue, swap seats got airbag light imagined it was just a calibration or code delete, junked old seats with all modules and sensors
I tried a brand new opds but cant initialize it.
