Header with no CEL

Hello. my wifes catalyst has become noisy and the OEM replacement is like 7 800... I remember maybe 8 years ago there was a company who had made a header but there was an extended pipe for the 02 sensor so that it didnt directly bolt up to the header and throw a check engine light?

im so sorry the search is sending me to the first and 3rd gen forum and i totally remember someone had made a part like this before car forums online had died :<

any help would be appreciated or even a link here to the item or even the other post from years ago about who made the correct piece so it can still pass inspections in NY

Look for O2 sensor extension on google.

Then install any converter, with the extension. You shouldn't throw a cell.

From my experience, if not OEM converter, it should be good without cell for a while, then one day you'll have a cell again. With the extension, you should be good for a long time without throwing a cell.

thanks, i was meaning to get something like a stainless header and not cat. i remember one brand had it already on it, but you are saying i can put an extention or two on a catless system and an ebay extender will circumvent this problem.

is the weapon*r the only model available at this time for a 2013? everything specifically states 09-12 on the ge8's and i dont see anything for the 13 14s if that matters at all

I would not run a car catless. Too much pollution and it'll smell bad.

I'm just suggesting a way to not spend much money for OEM stuff on an old car.

My wife's catalyst is her sister Eileen. When she becomes noisy, there is no aftermarket fix. I'm thinking of sending them both to The Bahamas for three weeks.

But maybe that's not what you meant.
