P0962 09 fit sport

Rats chewed my wire harness, I was able to soldier back together. I’m throwing code p0962 and when I shift into D or R it’s really really rough also I cannot use M mode and shift with my paddles now either last thing my cruise control does not work either. I have done some troubleshooting steps like checking the fuses changed the battery checking the sensors… anyone with some input it would be greatly appreciated! I have a 09 fit sport. Flashing D and cel is on

what kind of soldering are you using? some solder are not conductive and some have solder has more resistance than the same amount of copper. the P0962 code: "Pressure control solenoid control circuit low" Every time your transmission changes gears, the ecu has to increase or reduce the pressure inside the transmission. if the voltage is low the pressure control solenoid circuit would not be able to communicate with the solenoid properly. I'm no mechanic, just my opinion, looks like your gonna have to replace the harass. hope you find this useful. Cheers

I used standard solder… I was afraid of it being my soldering skills to which is the problem! Looks like I’m going to be hitting a pick a part soon! Any other useful tips? Thanks for the reply!
what are the chances the solenoid is bad and in need of replacement? And the location of this solenoid is closest to the firewall under the air intake cleaner correct?

You could try a solenoid but chances are if the problem wasn’t there before it could be your soldering job. I would go over all the work you did again before replacing the engine harness personally, I know a lot of people think solder is the right way to repair wiring but it’s really not it’s kind of an old school mentally now. Re pinning and replacing the wires completely is the best option. If you can’t do that high quality butt connectors with the proper crimpers and high quality shrink tube shrunk with a heat gun are much more effective, most car manufacturers will not consider a soldered wire an acceptable repair anymore. If you’re not good at soldering you can leave sharp points of solder that will poke through the shrink tube or tape and short out on other things.
