Automatic transmission 2009 fit sport replacement

Trying to replace the trans in my girlfriends fit it’s a sport model 2009 and I bought a replacement off working fit but it isn’t a sports model
i threw it in and locked up the crank took it apart motor spins freely trans is on the ground looks fine. My question is are these compatible as well as is there a specific way to line it up I’ve searched high and low couldn’t find anything was hoping someone who’s better informed and not as ignorant as me could help. Anything helps any suggestions ANYTHING I need this car off my driveway and running.

For the most accurate info available, other than a Honda dealer, call a wrecking yard near you. Ask them to check their interchange guide for fitment between base and sport..

Sport and Non Sport automatics should be the same transmission.
