Yesterday I started up my 09 Sport to drive home in city traffic. After a few blocks I noticed a very rough idle and when I tried to accelerate it was like I only had a tiny bit of power (essentially there was no change in throttle past the halfway point, even in idle). It wouldn't rev over about 3500 and I could barely get up to 25-30 MPH except going downhill. It threw a Check-Engine-Light. I managed to get it home and intended to hook up OBDII scanner. Unfortunately, I couldn't find it. After an hour or so of looking I decided to fire the car up again and it worked fine (but the CEL was still on). Drove to work today without issue, but the CEL was still on. Any idea what would cause this?

 

obd2 scan! i had the same issue found out it was misfiring and replace all spark plug and boot.

 

Yikes that coil has seen better days.

 

I got another obd2 scanner today and it pulled codes for a misfire. So that just corroborates what I already said. I did a pretty big maintenance job around 25k miles ago and part of that was replacing the spark plugs. So... 🤷
It has been running fine the past three days...
