a bit too much oil
fit 08 needed some engine oil and put a bit too much and now im getting msg.
oil life 15%

probably 25% of 1 quart too much
should i drain it or just drive it?

You should be fine, but you can always drain if you like.

Isn't that (the A1) just the normal Maintenance Minder message telling you that it's time for an oil change? I've never seen it because I don't drive enough (non-highway miles) to get past 60-70% oil life before my annual oil change.
