Hello I hope everyone is doing well. I just purchased a 2012 Honda fit sport 5 speed manual transmission.

what are some of the things y’all have done to your cars that you liked.
I need to bleed the clutch and replace the fluid and I want to change the transmission fluid because I do t know its age or how much is in it. Other than that, what are some cool things that y’all have done? Or what do I need to look out for?

 

Replace all fluids. Inspect spark plugs and valve clearance, replace if needed. Torque spark plugs to the revised torque (20 lbs-ft).

Inspect suspension and end links. Replace if needed. Inspect drive shaft: there is a recall, so if it hasn't been done, you might get new drive shafts for free.

The Progress rear sway bar is a good add-on if you want the car to handle better.

 

@Frenzal made some good suggestions. spark plugs are one of the only big problems on these cars until you take care of them. IF you run into water leaks in the trunk area, check the hatch latches and around the sealing area of the trunk. There's many videos and write ups about the rear hatch leaking on both the first and second gen, easy fix though and usually doesn't do much but leave a little puddle in spare tire area.
Look up honda fit and/or jazz trunk leak and you'll find all the writeups and videos about it.
