Question compatibility of KYB shock absorbers for Honda FIT 2013 Base

Hello,I'm reaching out from Europe, and I've owned a Honda Fit 2013 base model for about 3 years now. Here in Europe, it's called the Honda Jazz, but I had the opportunity to purchase a Honda Fit from the USA from a previous owner who moved to my country.

Now, it's time to change the shock absorbers, but I've been having difficulties finding something compatible. For example, the OE number for the right front shock absorber is 51611-TK6-A71, and unfortunately, I haven't been able to locate any aftermarket replacements in stores, not even at dealerships.

According to the catalog on the website www.kyb.com, I found that the shock absorbers with the codes 338001, 338002, and 348016 are compatible (please see the screenshot below), but the original codes are not specified. I would try them, but I'm not 100% sure. I emailed them, and they provided me with the same codes, but they don't have any information about the OE codes.

In my country's stores, the KYB part 338001 corresponds to the OE number 51611-TK6-A02. Based on information from www.hondapartsnow.com, the OE number 51611-TK6-A02 corresponds to the 2009-2011 sport model, so I'm confused.

Does anyone else own the same car as me and replaced the shock absorbers with KYB? According to www.hondapartsnow.com, I found the following original codes for the 2nd Gen. Is there any real difference between them? Even though there was a facelift in 2012-2013.
  • 2013 - base - code 51611-TK6-A71
  • 2013 - sport - code 51611-TK6-A51
  • 2012 - base - code 51611-TK6-A71, 51611-TK6-A11
  • 2012 - sport - code 51611-TK6-A51
  • 2009-2011 - base - code 51611-TK6-A11
  • 2009-2011 - sport - code 51611-TK6-A02

2013 Honda Fit Base 338002 Suspension Strut Front Left
2013 Honda Fit Base 338001 Suspension Strut Front Right

With the Honda parts there seems to be a weight difference with the newer model struts, so they made them a little cheaper by 3 pounds or so.
KYB of course saves money by making their parts compatible with more models, so it makes sense they would work for more years.
Also these are struts. Shocks are in the rear.

Thank you for information and indeed these are struts. So should they fit to my car without a lot of worries?

I don't see why not. I just replaced my rear shocks with KYB. They fit perfect. The front struts are the same part numbers I would buy for my car.
