Re-pinning Steering Wheel Wire Harness

I’m currently in the process of adding steering wheel audio controls to my Honda Fit base. I have the sport steering wheel installed but a couple of the cruise control wires aren’t in the same slots in the harness as my previous steering wheel. All I have to do is disconnect them from the harness and reconnect them to a different spot. I’m super inexperienced with this kind of stuff though, so I figured I’d ask the forum first. How do you go about removing wires from the steering wheel harness? I believe it is the C style harness. Any advice would be welcomed!

You just need to "unpin" the wire from one position in the plug, and move it to another?

They make unpinning tools to do exactly that. There's lots of them available on Amazon, or you might be able to get them at the auto parts store.

I’m surprised too. Considering how expensive everything is including gas, I figure these small eco cars would be in demand with Fit being at the top of the list. I just purchased mine this week so I’m excited to get back into the modding scene.
Back on topic, I was planning to add steering wheel controls to until I watched this video.
its a lot more involved then just add the controls and adding the pins in. I added the controls to my 2009 civic and it was much more simply. If you are brave enough, watch that video. It’s very detailed

I would think that way also but it seems where I live at least, the large SUVs and trucks remain kings of the road.

yeah, people complain about prices but will put themselves into debt for these trucks and gas guzzlers.

I did the same. I purchase the Metra kit. Hopefully the pins are the same size
