Finding out how many Fit S per year were made

Hello. I wonder if anyone knows where to locate information on how many Honda Fit S
by year,
by transmission,
by manufacturing plant
were made.

There's only public data on builds per year, and an estimation for transmissions (as high as 30% one year, I don't remember where I read that).

There's 11 plants around the world that at some point built the Fit across all four generations. Again, no public data on the split.

thank you kindly !

this gives me a sense but I suppose if I disclosed my purpose, it would be better:

1. ID best year by safety and reliability

2. ID number of Fit S (Sport) manuals per year, and

3. ID those built in Japan ( my own bias, partly informed by information I understand that there be or two years of Mexico built had reliability issues).

4. Act with this information about units for sale knowing how rare, how big is the "universe" of vehicles built.

ha ha.

Not that I'll be turning in my wonderful 2008 S manual soon.

If I may, you're injecting a fair amount of subjectivity here. Reliability probably can be quantified with some agreement but that would be an exercise in itself. Which Fit more reliable? A gen 3 that's been given a steady diet of Top Tier gasoline, a gen 3 that got whatever gas was cheapest, or a gen 2 that's popped a spark plug or two? How much of that traces back to what the operator of the vehicle did or didn't do while they owned the car?

afa id'ing those built in Japan versus Mexico, how would you account for tthe change in model that started in Mexico (they didn't build gen 2s; they started with gen 3. Would a gen 3 built in Japan have had the same issues?)?

Yeah I still don't get the exercise, to.be blunt. If we talk strictly second generation USDM Fit:

Safety was the same across all years. The only variable was making VSA standard on the 11-13 but that doesn't impact crash worthiness.

Sport versus base is strictly estimations. We won't know because that data isn't openly available.

All 09-13 USDM Fits were built in Japan at either Suzuka or Saiyama.

Rarity is still tied to data we don't have. Looking at years of fits available with trim and color I reckon an '09 sport mt with navigation is the rarest combination since that was only available for one year. Navigation was strictly automatic only after '09. Besides that later colors in 12 and 13 sold in low numbers were the raspberry blue metallic. There's another color that was offered for one year that I don't remember.

Orange Burst Metallic was only available on 2012 Fit Sports.

Taffeta white and lunar mist metallic are probably the rarest colors for the GD, as 2007 only colors.

2012-2014 GE Fits sold in Canada were made in China.

They were not made in limited numbers so Honda doesn't release exactly how many Sports were made. But Honda did sell 67,315 Fit's here in the US. Even more worldwide.
