Long story short brakes locked they loosen up after you turn the car off . Since I bought care it’s been over heating the coil packs and spark plug but only 2 get damaged to the point of replacing them but then it does it again . Mass air flow sensor gets super hot , coil packs andything electronic but the crazy thing is it started locking up my breaks . So I replaced the master cylinder since they all lock up . As soon as the car gets warm all the bull starts . Yes all the coil packs and spark plugs were changed to oem . I also swapped battery because they said it was bad . I’m pretty sure it’s an electronic problem . Can anyone help besides lighting a match on it ? What can I do next any advice would help
I'm concerned about your valves, and potentially, how well your spark plugs are sealing to the cylinder head. If your valves are way out of spec, like maybe not closing all the way on the intake side, you could be getting exhaust travelling through your intake. Spark plug sealing issues would explain the ignition coil issue. So comically, I'm thinking mechanical vs. electronic. To get those problems from electronics I figure you'd need.. what, lighter gauge wire running to your components vs. stock? Honestly, I'm not sure that's a sound suggestion. If you feel like there's a power regulation issue, it'd be coming from your ECM, yeah? And then.. if so.. I'd be concerned about other malfunctions.
Maybe an EGR malfunction could cause your issue, too? Again, porting exhaust gas, perhaps in excess or all the time back into your intake. That'd give components on your intake a good bake. How's the intake ducting look? Is it sooty enough to make my suggestions plausible?
Besides that, does the wiring look excessively fudged with (beyond a rat bite repair?)
I've seen some fucky stuff in my adventures. A recent one being our tacoma which had some sort of device joined to the ignition wires. The type of electrical connector they used cut multiple strands of the AWG wire, and then they removed the device leaving this crappy connection. I'd thought it a potential troublemaker for my "vibes while stopped in drive" issue, but I repaired the wire and found no benefit to it.
Now, I just picked up a blue driver. I havent tested it yet, but it does do Mode 6 sensor readings, and I'm so excited to check that out. So if there's an irregularity in a sensor readout but no code, I may be able to see some data about it!
I've had no time with the truck yet though.. Anyways, yeah, I hope these ideas ring a bell for you. We've got adjustable valves in the L15A7, so that's not too hard to check out. And giving that EGR an aggressive cleaning may be worth while.
For carbon build-up, I have no tricks. Running water and an abbrasive 🤣 But! I do like simple green pro xd. Maybe with some gentle agitation it could do the job.
