2009 Fit Plug Coil issue
2009 Fit Plug Coil issue
2009 Fit Sport 131,000 miles throwing a cyclinder #4 misfire. Going to order plugs and coils from Rock Auto but there and there are many options for each.
2 questions:
1. Does anyone have a specific recommendation for eithe Denso, Hitachi or NGK coils?
2. Same question for the several spark plugs they offer.
3. Seems to be a lot of confusion on correct spark plug gap (most plugs come pr-gapped smalleer than what I have seen recommended)
4. Standard spark plug torque is 13ft lbs, but because of plug loosening issue, some posts have that up to 20.
5. Spark plug lubricant/anti-seize or dry?
Thanks in advance, John

Mine is a 2013, but I believe all is the same for you.
NGK IZFR6K13
DENSO SKJ20DR-M13
Either one is fine. I use the NGK.
1.2-1.3 mm (0.047-0.051 in)
Note: Spark plugs are gapped at the factory. You should not need to gap them. Just check them with a feeler gauge.
20 ft-lb is the updated spec. I tighten by hand.
The debate goes on. I like to use a small amount of anti-seize on my plugs.
Note: The question is not "Do you need to use anti-seize on spark plugs?" You do. But the spark plug mfrs. claim that they have done it already in the manufacturing of the plug, so you do not need to add more. That said, one of my OEM plugs (installed by Honda at the factory) was in pretty tight. I don't want that to happen again.

Ignition Coil - Honda (30520-RB0-S01)
The Internet says that these are made for Honda by Hitachi. Just like @Frenzal said.
